Miriam High School is committed to providing students with not only strong academic instruction, but also a fulfilling high school experience and enriching social opportunities. These opportunities include clubs, athletics, spirit days, and special events and are shaped by students’ needs and preferences. Activities and offerings may change from year to year.
After-school clubs at the high school are an excellent opportunity for students to participate in extracurricular activities according to their interests. Not only do clubs promote social interaction, they also give students the chance to gain leaderships skills. Sample clubs have included chess, board games, open gym, art/makerspace, Dungeons & Dragons, and video games.
At the high school level, Miriam students have participated in various athletic teams such as baseball, basketball, and bowling through both local leagues and the Missouri State High School Activities Association. Available teams are determined annually based on student interest and faculty support.
Our high school students and their families also enjoy many of the same types of social experiences their peers might have at traditional schools. These activities have included:
- Fall Family Picnic
- Miriam Trivia Night
- Spirit and Dress Up Days
- “Friendsgiving”
- Winter Dance
- Field Trips
- Monthly Parent Coffees
- Prom
- Awards Day and Graduation Ceremony
