As Director of Transition Services, Terri Pruitt works with our high school population to support them on the journey of choosing a post-graduation pathway.
Pruitt came to Miriam in 2021, bringing her vast experience as a teacher, staff trainer, administrator and her expertise working with transition programs. She is a native St. Louisan and has held a number of administrative and teaching positions.
She was previously employed as the Associate Director at an area private school. She also founded a small private school and learning center which was in operation for six years.
Mrs. Pruitt holds a Masters of Education in Secondary Education, a Master’s in History and a Master’s of Education in Administration, as well as Certificates in Women and Gender Studies and course work in Leadership and Management of Nonprofit Organizations all from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Mrs. Pruitt is certified in Social Studies in grades 5-12 and holds a Principal’s certificate. She is also a certified special education teacher.
