Miriam Academy provides a learning environment in which a variety of technological tools are routinely utilized in courses. All students have 1:1 access to laptops and will use these tools regularly for practice of key skills and content, research, projects production and online communication and collaboration with peers and teachers.
Technology is used for “Flipped Classroom” instructional design, which enables teachers to record mini lessons for students to preview prior to classroom lessons. Miriam Academy also has a variety of online programs and software available for student learning. Additionally, technology access enables students the ability to enroll in online courses outside of the Miriam Academy standard curriculum. Currently, “Odysseyware” is the program Miriam Academy uses for online courses.
The following is a comprehensive list of technology, software and online programs available to students at Miriam Academy.
