Miriam Academy students have the opportunity to enroll in summer learning courses as both a means of earning additional credits and continuing to practice social skills and job skills.
For students entering grade 10, these will be volunteer activities and academic coursework. For those entering grade 11, these learning opportunities may include paid and unpaid internships or externships with local business partners. For juniors and seniors, we partner with Vocational Rehabilitation (a state agency) to provide students with the opportunity to have paid six-week jobs, with a job coach, over the summer.
