Kathy Puettmann brings more than 20 years of hands-on teaching experience as a special educator to Miriam Academy. Kathy has expertise in building programs for students with learning disabilities and experience with evaluation and assessment. Prior to coming to Miriam Academy she created and implemented resource programs and project-based enrichment programs at several private schools. Kathy was the founding special education teacher at Miriam Academy and became the Associate Head of School in 2018.
Kathy holds her Master of Arts in Educational Administration from Southeast Missouri State University and Bachelor of Science in Special Education with an emphasis in Learning Disabilities from University of Missouri-St. Louis. She holds certifications for Special Education Mild/Moderate Cross Categorical (K-12), Learning Disabled (K-9), Behavior Disordered (K-9), Elementary Education (1-8) and Principal (7-12).
