Testing Services
Testing can answer many questions parents may have about their child, and these assessments are the first step in getting the necessary support.
Miriam is your one-stop source for quick and expert testing for children ages 2 to 18. Our experienced therapists and educators can help figure out what is going on with your child, and then we can provide a treatment pathway with recommendations. Whether your child needs psychoeducational, ADHD, autism, learning disability, occupational therapy, physical therapy, language, psychological, or behavioral assessments, they can get testing in one convenient location. Because we have many testers with different expertise, we can get a comprehensive look at your child from different perspectives. Our team approach to testing ensures that we do not miss any important details that can affect your child’s progress and outcomes.
Testing Without the Wait
We know that waiting a long time for testing may mean your child is not getting necessary interventions. We usually get testing scheduled within two weeks of the referral. Miriam’s Testing Coordinator will happily schedule testing to meet your family’s schedule. We have daytime, after school, and evening testing hours available Monday through Thursday, and daytime hours on Friday. Testing can occur at your child’s school during the day (with permission from the school) or anytime at our Center in Webster Groves. We also have new testing locations in St. Charles County. You choose the time of day that is best for your child and family.
Accurate Diagnoses You Can Rely On
Through testing, we are able to provide a medical diagnosis of specific learning disorders, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD/ADD), autism, speech and language disorders, anxiety, depression, and other conditions that may affect a student’s learning and functioning at home and school. Medical diagnoses do not always guarantee that a child meets IDEA criteria for an educational diagnosis through their school district. Many districts use our reports as a part of their Review of Existing Data when considering IDEA eligibility and 504 plans. They respect the quality and validity of our reports. Parents appreciate the individualized attention Miriam gives to their children during testing and as well as our thorough explanation of the results. Our private evaluations always remain private. You decide what you want to share with your child’s school.
