Miriam is saddened to learn of 
the passing of Jerry Ritter. He was a visionary leader in the St. Louis community, a devoted father to his children and a good friend to all. He and his wife, Peggy, changed the lives of many with their philanthropic work, especially here at Miriam. In fact, three of their grandchildren receiving a Miriam education.
Jerry and Peggy played an instrumental part of both the Learning to Succeed and Building on Success campaigns. As co-chairs of each, they worked tirelessly within the local community to secure support for Miriam’s mission of empowering unique learners. Because of their efforts, Miriam was able to expand the lower school with the addition of a middle school wing and to secure a permanent home for the high school.
As our community mourns this tremendous loss, please keep the Ritter family in your thoughts and prayers. There will be a Memorial Mass on Friday, August 26, 2022, at 2:00 pm at St. Anselm Catholic Church in Creve Coeur.
