Donna Wendel recently rejoined the Miriam Board of Directors after a six-year break. Her son, Collin, attended Miriam School from fifth grade through eighth grade. “I am passionate about Miriam’s mission, because I know the impact it makes on the families it serves,” Donna says. She left the board in 2014, as she was becoming more involved in her community while her two children attended public high school, but she always planned to return.
Donna serves as senior director of health plan finance at Centene Corporation. She has held a number of other director and senior director positions at Centene over the past 11.5 years. Prior to Centene, Donna was owner of SportsWall, an online retail sports décor and memorabilia store, for nearly two years. She previously served as owner/consultant for MarquiSolutions, Inc., where she provided professional financial and management consulting services to large and small companies in various industries. Prior to those ventures, Donna worked as finance director/manager at Sprint, finance manager for the power division at Black & Veatch, and senior auditor at KPMG Audit.
“I am excited to have the opportunity to be back on the Miriam board,” Donna says. “I want to continue to advocate for and support Miriam in expanding their reach to the many kids and families who fit Miriam’s student profile but are underserved.”
