Variable Tuition Program

Variable Tuition is Miriam School and Learning Center's need-based financial assistance program. Reductions in tuition costs are given on a first-come, first-served basis to newly accepted and re-enrolling families – based on available funds. Application and acceptance into the school program is a prerequisite to receiving individual variable tuition information, and new families should contact our Admissions Office to begin the process.

Following an online financial application and review of tax and financial documents, your family’s tuition rate is set within the annual range established by our Board of Trustees based on your unique financial position. Once a family enrolls, parents are also offered convenient payment plan options to control the timing and distribution of their tuition payments throughout the school year.  Variable Tuition is applied for annually and is typically awarded to families making less than $200,000 in income.

  • More than 60% of families received tuition assistance through the Variable Tuition Program for the 2023-24 Academic Year.
  • Miriam awarded over $2.2 million in Variable Tuition reductions in 2023-24.

Variable Tuition Cost

Our tuition is based on a sliding scale ranging from $11,700 to $39,200, tailored to meet the diverse needs of our families. We offer a Variable Tuition (VT) program that adjusts tuition rates based on each family’s financial situation, ensuring that our education remains accessible and affordable. Below, we provide case studies illustrating how the Variable Tuition program and the MO Scholars Award can reduce tuition costs for different household scenarios.

We think that the money we spent sending him to Miriam was the best investment we could have made for our son's future.

Testimonial 3

Miriam understands the needs of kids who learn differently! At public school, I was made to feel like I was just an overprotective mother. At Miriam, they understood and agreed that my child needed extra help and wasn’t just lazy.

Miriam was the only school that was willing and able to positively address and be keenly focused on my child's needs and met him where he was.
